The "father of bodybuilding" founder of ABBF Datuk Paul Chua was elected as the President of the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation and with the re designation of the following officials whom he had selected to lead together with him in ensuring a good team of officials who are committed and dedicated to the sport of bodybuilding in the coming years ahead:
 
Mr. Sugree Supawarikul as the Secretary General/Treasurer (Thailand) .
 
Both of them will lead and steward the ABBF to the highest level under their capable and strong leadership. Congratulations and best wishes to both these gentlemen and their dynamic Executive Committee. We wish them great success.

The dynamic team of the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation Singapore had its first meeting since Mr Shawn Sugendran was appointed as President for the Federation. Datuk Chua and Mr Shawn set out the key objectives and strategic directions for the federation. Also appointed into the federation was Bodybuilding Senior official Mr M Letchmenon as Executive Vice President, Mr Glen Siah as Vice President Special Duties, Mr Alan Ng as Vice President for Marketing & Promotions, Mr Andrew Johnson Vice President for Competitions and Ms Marie Wellesley as Secretary General and Treasurer. This highly dynamic team will work hard to promote the sport both locally and internationally. They will also have specific responsibilities in the federation and discharge their responsibilities with dedication and finesse.

WBPF Secretary General Datuk Paul Chua had an interview with BBC News about the formation of this organisation which is transparent in its mission and vision compared with other groups in the world. The meeting took place on 20th November 2017 at the Sports Authority of Thailand conference room.
